We believe in beauty that lasts over time: materials that age gracefully and become part of the story of those who wear them. Salce reduces waste thanks to the longevity of its products.
Quality, Sustainability, and Innovation
Salce follows an integrated management model that combines quality, ethics, and process control.
The company operates in accordance with ISO 9001 standards, ensuring a structured system for activity monitoring, material traceability, and supplier verification.
The selection of materials follows rigorous standards of sustainability, safety, and durability. We collaborate with tanneries that adopt low-impact processes, advanced purification systems, controlled chemical use, and by-product valorization. The use of GRS-certified recycled materials ensures full traceability and compliance with environmental and social standards. The production process combines craftsmanship and innovation: efficient waste management, optimized cutting, and material recovery minimize waste, while digital tools enhance production flow traceability, improving both efficiency and environmental-quality consistency.
Research and development are dedicated to technologies and materials that prolong the life of leather and enhance product performance, featuring low-impact tanning, VOC reduction, and treatments that maintain and enrich the surface over time.
Product Care GuideAlthough our bags are made to last, they require care to maintain their durability over time.
They are crafted with passion using high-quality materials. The leathers are carefully selected to ensure a soft touch, elegant texture, and superior longevity.
Each leather is unique.
Leather (calf, bovine, ovine)
Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Do not overload your bag. Avoid contact with darker-colored materials. When not in use, store it in its dust bag to protect it from dust, intense (sun)light, and humidity. Avoid contact with grease, mud, dirt, rough surfaces, and rain.
Inner lining
We use microfiber or cotton linings depending on the model. Try to avoid contact with darker-colored materials as much as possible. In case of stains, gently wipe with a soft cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water and mild soap (or a small amount of diluted gentle detergent). Avoid vigorous rubbing to prevent stains or permanent marks.
Metal parts
Salce uses zamak for metal parts and brass for chains.
Clean regularly with a soft cloth. In case of stains, slightly dampen the cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap, avoiding abrasive products that could damage the finish, and dry immediately to prevent water marks. Avoid prolonged exposure of metal parts to humid environments. Keep away from perfumes, cosmetics, or harsh cleaners.
Shells
Thanks to the valuable know-how gained from experience in the eyewear case industry, Salce thermoformed shells are made of EVA, covered with leather on the outside and lining on the inside. The shells of the Pitus model also contain a spongy material: keep away from moisture and heat to prevent deformation.
Each bag includes a unique QR code, giving you instant access to information on its materials and care instructions.
